History
Syntropy Limited was founded in 1997 by John Daniels. Since then it has delivered software and provided advice and guidance to many companies, especially in the finance industry.
The firm is named after the object-oriented design method created by Steve Cook and John Daniels during
the early 1990s while they were working together at the pioneering consulting firm Object Designers. The
Syntropy method was highly innovative and many of its ideas were subsequently incorporated in UML,
in Catalysis, and in other development processes. In particular, Syntropy is a direct ancestor of the
Object Constraint Language that forms an integral part of the UML.
